Tuesday, May 9: ConnectNet Forum, “Web, Mobile and IOT: Big Data Landscape and Why NoSQL for the Digital Economy”

Dana Henderson will speak to the explosion of data available from the ongoing evolution that is being called “The Digital Economy”. He covers the transformation of how we interact and are effected daily, in our lives and in our businesses, by the surging wave of innovations across the Web, Mobile and IOT landscape. He will provide current use cases demonstrating how enterprises are dynamically changing their underlying technology systems of engagement to accommodate new business models. Dana will address how organizations of all sizes are able to capitalize on new opportunities coming from the Big Data created out from Web, Mobile and IOT transactions through the economies of scale that the Open Source Software community have brought about. Lastly, he will walk through; what is NoSQL and how it enables many of these systems of engagement for Web, Mobile and IOT.

With more than 20 years of technology industry experience; Dana has a wide range of knowledge of Software Development, Database Management BPM, Business Intelligence, ERP and now working with the NoSQL Database platform. He has held software sales and leadership positions at IBM, Compuware, Pilot Software (acquired by SAP) Visionary Business Systems, Telelogic (acquired by IBM Rational), Serena Software, InvestorFlow and Couchbase.
